Lowes is my "crack" in spring!

It all started with my trip to Lowes last week and the CUTE hanging planters. Sigh. I went to Lowes to get two more planters

Which I did. Along with two types of tomatoes, cherry and Roma; a bell pepper; a eggplant

AND 6 ground cover flowers as my verbena bit the dust with the freezes this year. Oh and 6 wave petunia to put in the hanging planters AND two potato vines just for good measure...and one succulent.

Before the flowers.

The other side in full bloom and perked!

With flowers:

Then I decided to put my pot if succulents over here too. And low and behold it did survive it just too a while coming back this spring.

The flowering ground cover... Alternating pink and yellow (hard to see as they are traumatized still)

And the veggies at the stair way. Right side

Lest side.

Now to keep them watered and happy!!

Other peoples trash is another persons treasure.

Found on garbage day. What? Yes they are dirty, dirty, dirty however are sturdy and need no fixes! What a score!

And I'm always whining about not finding GREAT finds. Well today was my day. This cutie was a whopping $5.00

LOOK at those drawer pulls. She's so pretty!

No mirror but I can live with that, especially at that price!!

It's TIME! I went to Lowes at lunch today to get pool salt and came home with a project or two.

One for this wall:

I came home with these:

And these!

I put the daisies here:

They are so BRIGHT!

And go well with their neighbors!!

And the wall will now have some drippy color in the next few months.

I can't wait to see it all bloom and perk up ;)

Junk'n Savannah

The list from the night prior started with this:

Page 2:

Page 3:

And ended the night with :

And the day begins.

Nothing purchased... Cute little store.
I stopped at three between here and downtown Savannah.
Love the streets in Savannah.

And then the WHOLE reason I wanted to thrift Savannah.
Two Women and a Warehouse (http://twowomenandawarehouse.com) and I finally broke open the wallet BIG time.

No not for this but HOW cute!!

And an idea for my hutch colors...

I have memories if a poker chip wheel like this Mom and Dad!

What I had been looking for was the dough bowl:

Or this boat:

So? What came home with me, you ask??

The 43" dough bowl is now mine. Why? To make a coffee table with glass top and sea shells inside :) can't wait to start that project!!

A few more stores and a lunch in the car with the nice ocean breeze on an inner Island and I had the thought to drive to Tybee.

Yeah... What WAS I thinking? I made it out there and almost to the south end if the island and gave up as there were helicopters and MORE half naked teens. I'm getting old, I'm sure they were college students but still I was NOT ready to deal with that level of crowds. Thanks, no. I got behind a local (salt life stickers, coolers and fishing poles in the back of their truck). We zipped out through back roads yay!

I plugged in a thrift store in a town north if the freeway between where I was and the hotel and was OFF. I saw a few more between here and there. Did a few turn around a and revisits (one GREAT one at Victory and Montgomery - so I'll remember that address!!)

And one impromptu estate sale that I bought a this cute step stool.

And my favorite stop of the day !!! This is in the little town of Pooler Ga. I got to walk (dodge and weave) through the WHOLE house!!!

The road less traveled. I did go down this one too there were older farm style houses but nothing spectacular.
One final Look back and the BIG house!

Ahhhhh

Hotels...

Ok this weekend is the weekend to drop Angela off to be a college student for the weekend.

Angie, Lizzie and Kayla - they have the left over bunny cake to munch on as well. :)

I ate dinner at the dinning hall with them the made my exit to the hotel. My first stop. Yes, you read that correctly. FIRST stop. My reservation was at a Baymont hotel. OMG. First impression was GAG! What you can't smell is this is a SMOKING hotel. Retch!!

THEN I start looking around.

Yes, this is a portal to HELL in the ceiling. Oh yeah, it's REALLY falling down.

Yeah. BIG black whole!!

Oh, but wait it gets better!! The shower rod is falling off the wall.

Oh yes, that is FILTH ground into the wall.

Yeah, I left! I was offered a mini-suite in the non smoking floor but there was just a stench to the place... I hit the road with NO reservations and no clue what I would find room wise!

I stopped at the Springtown Suits. They were booked solid... Bummer.

Next up Comfort Suits across the street. It's newer they had a room.

And we have success!!

Much better!!

And look the shower curtain isn't falling off the wall! :)

Cute vessel sink to boot ;)

Well that was my adventure. I took a shower after that other hotel - really!! Now to plot my day tomorrow. :)
