Orlando informer.

Driving down on Thursday

Ok day 1 - Friday
We got up and Liz had to work so Angela and I went to Target. Nothing really of note there so we went thrifting because I wanted to.

Interesting piece. Looks to be a Chinese glass piece but pretty and should fetch double what I paid (9.99)
Angela navigated us to the Bins in Orlando. They weren’t too impressive.  BUT Ashe found a super cute vintage mosaic frame from Italy that appeared to be brass or copper. Cute. She also found a glass/mirror curio cabinet. It was missing its door but hangs from the wall so she plans to put plants out of Lela’s reach (her cat for those who don’t know)

When we got back we hung out for a bit then went to the park.

Pretty sunset on our way in. We waited for free parking.

Hogwarts train was after Simpson. But ya get the drift.

The girls are their way through the park. I pooped my way through. My body was out of sorts and was just NOT playing right all night but we made do!

We are pretzels (to settle the acid racing through my system). They had street tacos along with fruit and sodas (I had some Fanta orange. Hadn’t had that in ages) then a partial doughnut ala Simpson. They discovered you can do a part one not whole so 1/4 and we all got a smidge of it.

We rode the Mummy twice in a row because there was NO line so we looped over the child swap and right back in it. Very fun!!

We rode men in black twice. I lost both times. Oh well horrible shot!!  We rode Gringots and I discovered it’s too hard on my knees. I could barely walk after. Yikes!!  It was almost kneeling. So it got me.  The train adventure between the Harry Potter worlds. It’s cute. Then Hagrids. I rode in the motorcycle and found out you have to hold on or get tossed a bit. Hurts the old back!  BUT I squished my fat tushie into every ride without full harness because I knew I could still breathe in those. I had done the dueling dragons a few years ago at this weight and experienced the full body squish. Never again. It’s too much for a fatty to handle. BUT. I made it. I rode rides even if I had to poo right after!!  Hahaha.

We snacked and I sampled my way through the park as well. The kids got shepherds pie and even fish and chips for Angela, salad and butter beer lots of hot butter beer. I had one/two of those. They also tried a boba of some sort and a pear cider and something we don’t know what it was but didn't like (I think it was a cider of some sort)

All girls weekend Day 2

Morning had us walking to Hash House a Go Go  the first one was in a hotel and PACKED so we opted to go to the one out on Sahara! It was a 15 minute drive but worth it as we got in quickly and ate HUGE meals
LOOK at the SIZE of those pancakes!!!

I got a hash. A chorizo hash. It was devine.

we were all splitting meals so we had hash, biscuits and gravy (served over mashed potatoes - this why it’s so tall), and a max-n-cheese breakfast style!  All delicious and super filling

After the huge breakfast we went to the hotel and split up. Liz, Linda and I went to the spa for a massage. It was Devine.

Peggy, Amy and Wendy went to see Menopause the Musical.

We gambled and played and eventually met up for dinner. At Batistas Hole in the Wall. It was interesting. It was a classic. It will not be repeated. Aka not worth it. I’m glad I finally went to see what it was all about.

It was also LOUD. So loud that Linda sent a note to my end of the table to ask about an advertised feature of the place.

The mandolins player was apparently NOT wandering.

My lasagna. It was delicious and huge. I ate half.

Before and after food.

AFTER dinner we walked down to the High Roller.

It’s a bar. Which is weird to me that they are pushing alcohol at every step. BUT it was free booze for the hour long ride. Liz had a few drinks. I did not.

He was a hoot. He knew the timing of all the talking and could match the tone and words of the announcements to a T.

And with that it was a walk back to the hotel then to bed as it was 11pm already and we had an early flight. I had the exit row again with TINS of leg room as there was no seat in front of me BUT the guy beside me was a very LARGE man. To the point I had to have him hold up his side so I could get my tray out for a snack in the way home.   Poor guy. I feel his pain!!

And back to reality. Boooo. BUT we stopped at IKEA on the way home and got Pizza at our favorite pizza place over there!
