My day 1 - I took off for the airport before the sun was up so had a wonderfully pink sunrise. :) (and lots of stop/go traffic at points)
Loaded up and ready to go. I’m flying out solo however will drive back with Elizabeth.
I adore this seat it’s 27 row window. I get all the leg room and now that I have lost weight enough to fit quite comfortably and enjoy the ride. The ONLY down side is that I don’t get to watch movies AS we land as it’s a pull up video screen.
Off we go!! Beautiful fall colors
Cloudy flight!!
Landed in San Antonio. It’s a rainy day here with temps dropping.

I opened up the wheelchair to ensure nothing was broken as I didn’t gate check it. It came though without issues thankfully. I spent the afternoon and evening with Tandy and did some airport pickups with her. We picked up Liz and had dinner and as mom and Linda were coming in at 10pm we hu g out at their house until they came on as dinner was out near her house. It was so great getting to see Ella as she was going to be out and about doing soccer things the rest of the weekend.

Official Day 1 -
Our group breakfast with the Guenther house for a delicious brunch. Elizabeth got a HUGE quiche that looked delicious ! Mom and I split a breakfast of biscuits and gravy with eggs, potatoes and bacon. https://www.guentherhouse.com/. Left to right clockwise around the table: Mom (Marilyn), Me, Tandy, Lexi, Linda, Toni Jaxien, Deborah (Toni’s life long friend), Elizabeth. Small but fun group!
Then it was off to see the missions. How did I live in Texas and never hear about these???

Toni and Deborah
This picture makes me giggle as I was in the church and heard them talking outside the door and popped open the door and photobombed them :) there is a picture out there somewhere of me in Liz on this doorway as well :)
Planning with Linda for the next days evens on the hop on/off bus.
Dinner this night was MiTiera
Deborah’s daughter was also able to join us for this dinner.
Day 2 - Elizabeth and I walked out to get something. Tickets for said bus I believe - and found this cat. There were TWO matching ones that dashed over to a VERY narrow alley between two buildings that wouldn’t even let a body go into it!! Super skinny!!
First stop on the Hop on/off bus was Pearl area. Cute shopping area with a farmers market going on.
This sign was for a restaurant - but an accurate description of both these girls!!
I think I’ve lost my status. Linda doesn’t concur. Ha!
Random picture on the walk back in front of the Alamo. We did t even go in!
The girls dashed out to grab McDonald’s after the walking and took the opportunity to take more pictures.
The riverwalk at night. Very pretty even if it was a very WET and cold weekend!!

My word was not “cheese” it was “drowned rats”. Hahaha! We did get damp but our spirits were still high! We were walking around the river walk while waiting for dinner at Salt Grass

These are the CUTE line of carriages with lights.

Random maps of the area!
Last day. li da, Mom Lexi and Linda took off early so they could go to church. We didn’t get pictures as they departed. Lesson learned have a final group meet up for final pictures
Toni and Deborah also left early to avoid traffic which left Liz and I to go to brunch solo. She chose the ritzy area with Saint Anthony hotel and eating at the garden view. Very nice hotel. Very nice brunch.
Then Liz and I had to have mimosas before our flight and San Antonio requires food to be purchased in conjunction with alcohol prior to noon. Ok. Cheese tray it is.
Another rainy flight!
Leg room again!!
And with that we’re back home again !! A great All Girls Weekend!
