We all came in on Friday. Donald and Robin came in while it was raining on a leaf covered steep road making it slick! We came in 2nd without issue. Next in was Liz. She rode separately as she was going home Sunday vs Monday like us! We sat up and visited for a bit before starting the festivities the next day.
First morning with coffee on the porch. Very cold and very peaceful ;)
Bare legs with hoodie in place while swinging. Ahhh the life!

First stop with the Mercier orchard where we sampled different ciders. There were LOTS and lots of goodies and SO crowded!! Think of Lane packing on steroids. They even had Striplings Jerky there. The place was packed. We didn’t go into the orchard as the line was super long and we had no desire to PICK apples so we sampled and left for the winery after photos! Our main goal was photos and seeing what we could see ;)

I was Liz’s “photographer “ for the day! :)

Lizzie’s selfie :)

Mine while walking back to the car :)

Cross body and over sized sweater tucked was not a good look in hind sight. Ha! Oh well, I’m not ready to buy new clothes just yet, thanks!

How things progress. Hahaha

Robin and Donald are so cute!

Selfie on the fields.

Liz takes great selfies!

Her new boyfriend is a hunk, dont you think!?

A girl and her pumpkin

Candid shots! Gotta love them!

Early morning fog in the distance. We had a 9-am ticket pickup at the station BUT we went out early for breakfast (without ample planning) and ended up at Waffle House for the second. Day vs the cute breakfast places. Oh well, lack of planning didn’t pan out perfectly BUT I like Waffle House ;)

We also discovered reservations are required to eat well when out and about on holiday weekends. Oh well. We ate and didn’t starve but it wasn’t the best food. :/
Sunday:

Then we got on the train!

It turened out to be a 1 hour ride to the town north of us then a two hour stay in that town and reverse back. Meh. It was fun. Was it worth it? Not really. Was the CIP car worth it after comparing? Heck yes!! The open train car was too cold on the way north. It was good on the way home however.

We’re in McCaysville and Copperhill. Cute area. Cute town. Sunday was not the best choice due to restrictions and open hours for some things BUT it was nice to get out and wander the town.

Fun signs on this field!

And here the pictures end. The cabin we had was two bedrooms and a bath upstairs with the living room and kitchen. Downstairs was laundry, bathroom, mancave, game room and 3rd bedroom. The deck downstairs had the hot tub.
Donald amd Robin left after the train on Sunday as did Liz so that left just Butch and I in town. We had an early dinner and went home to use the hot tub and have a relaxing night (like all our nights - ha!).
We got up the next morning, packed up and headed out to see an old friend of mine from work, Jeff Bracket and his wife Lynn, who retired in the local area. They lived just 20 minutes away, so we had a good visit with them before heading home.
A great weekend in the mountains of Georgia.
