Ze Lockers... Zey are DONE (insert cackling laughter and lightning!)

I need to move a few more things off the shelf, however, progress can be seen - and the lockers are in place in the corner ( insert a Wooping sound here! )
Not all the towels are in place yet.. some are in the wash, some are hiding in a closet inside (unsure why to this day why they end up in there!)  Progress - the noodles that will stand upright are in the corner in a basket - temporary, I'm sure, as it's not quite big enough for them.  The older ones are in the garbage and the old deck box is rinsed out and waiting for a new owner :o)
what secrets the lockers hold.  There are side hooks on the outer lockers and the potential for some more side hooks as needed (I have a few more to install if we so desire)... the top hooks are on either side of the lockers with doors to hang things from.  The left locker is going to be dubbed the "pool extras" cubbie - things that really aren't used that often and just need a place to "hang" - may put what little chemicals I have on the shelf in here as well.  Bottom left is all the "war" squirters - center bottom is the fins (I think Butch's are actually in there right now too), bottom right is floats and surfboards and silly things like that, upper right is the masks and goggles... do you think we have enough of those???   I actually had to fish two more out of the pool to run rover and as I was gathering towels found two more sets of goggles running around too.  Yikes!  I think that labels are in order for the doors as well in bright yellow - what do you think?

Fire in the Hole!!!

Dad came over today to help me with my lockers... he ground down the sharp edges on the open locker (ripped off the hinges) doorway and helped me swap out the bottom left door with the one that had been ripped off... the one with a working locking mechanism.
 Sparks flying!!
next up... paint...
I think I am going to let Liz have her way and go for a nice Tardis Blue
the center middle open one... and the interior of all the others... I'm really thinking a deep yellow/gold
Sound about right?

Thanks Dad for all your help today - couldn't do it without you!!!

The *&^#$%&*( lockers

After the parade, I decided to cut the back way and head on to the house - well, after Liz passed in the parade - and they were near the first ones in the parade, so it was early.  I kept seeing blue lights flashing pushing me farther and farther from the house, so by the time I hit Green Street I gave up and decided I would see what Salvation Army Thrift store had to offer me this fine Saturday.

I wandered the store and found... nothing.  Then I noted they were having a yard sale - they have a HUGE 3 sided pole barn setup outside the building, so I hoofed it out there to see what they had.  They had lots and lots and lots of projects out there, but this one caught my eye.  I have always wanted some old lockers to refurb... and look what I found for a whopping $15.00

This is the part both girls fell in love with - of all things - the cow stickers on the front of one of the doors.  How very funny is that?  They both want to be able to keep the cows.  ha!

HERE is why I got them for $15 - two of the door are damaged.  This door is the worst - I have no idea what could have ripped the thing off the hinges and NOT dent the door. That is some talent, for sure.  However, being the pragmatic girl I am, I think the center middle can be an open shelf type area with contrasting colors painted... what do you think?
I'm telling you talent - the bottom hinge is ripped ALL The way off - whowzer - someone with strength!!
