Rapunzel, Rapunzel let down your hair (plants AND a tower)

While out and about this weekend Butch and I decided to tour a little around Robinson Barracks.  There is this tower up there... just off base, in fact we saw it FROM base and when I attempted to drive to it the parking lot near it's base was just on the other side of the fence that surrounds the base, so imagine my surprise when google maps took me RIGHT by it on my way home... so I pulled over and stopped ... went over to it, much to Butch's surprise - he initially didn't want to go to see it.  I figure "heck, if I see it and it interests me, I'm driving, thus I will stop!" and Stop I did!!  I personally think it was well worth the stop.  He agrees, but for different reasons of watching me huff and puff as I went up the stairs to the top... having to stop and catch my breath a few times.  Yeah, I'm outta shape!  Nothing new there!

Sorry, I would have had to have rotated this BEFORE I loaded it... now you are just stuck twisting your head to the side... it shows what is where in the distance on the photo below....

What I LOVE about flat roofs here is what you can see below:
They will plant succulents up there to thrive in the hot sun on a flat roof.  Very cool!!

 They're not quite done....

And back at the house working with the house plants we just bought the other day to get them to behave... actually I did this BEFORE we went on our little treck out to the see the world, but this is how the photos' loaded, so this is the order we'll show them to you :)

THIS was one of two plants... it looks like it's a lot more "controlled" that what it was inreality...
Butch runraveld him in the office to see just how far it went...
I then took it to the third floor and let it fall down towards the bottom floors...
 and it kept going...
 and going......
 And going!!!!
I did give her a hair cut... it was needed - all of the stringers that were cut ARE in a few jars in the kitchen window to start NEW plants for others to enjoy.

This plant is looking a little worse for wear... it's yellow due to watering issues I do believe.  I have gotten it to perk up a bit and get some of it's super yellow/green flowers to go white since getting it.  This plant is a really good size and I'm nursing it a bit to get it into better share.

Here is how the hair cut ended up.  I did let it continue to grow down to the next level... just so I can see when it's drooping for water - my greatest fear is that I will forget it upstairs and kill it!!

Plants were not relegated to inside only this weekend either.  I SWORE I wouldn't be spending a lot on flowers and such, but what do I do?  Plant things... it's just me... I need one more hanging planter for the fence... and some different flowers that will trail would be nice as well.
Butch wants some smaller pots around this one with other plants around it to cover the manhole in the backyard.  I'm sure we can do that.
