Day two

Dropping into sunrise!

IRELAND!!
Lush and green!!
And we're off the plane, finding out hotel and striking out to see the town.
The hotel, which is right in the middle of Temple Bar. Lesson learned on Temple Bar. Visit. Don't stay there...but I digress, I am just getting started for the day!

The bus from the airport was quite easy and quick to find. We made it to our hotel with no issue.

Then off to explore (and fight sleep!!)
A door at the Christ Church Cathedral
Details
Pretty church but the bells. They became a bit of a joke. We stopped to see if our room was ready a few times throughout the day only to have it not ready until after 3pm so we went by this church too many times and spent some time in a park downhill from the church.
That cross in the distance is what made us find St Aubouns Church (more on that later)

The park appears to be a dog park mostly. The human park had garbage all over it. Yuck!!
Outside the market walkway from Ha'penny bridge.

We were showing our travel about now - ha!!

We found a VERY nice park with the help of our hotel reception. St Stephens Green (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_Stephen%27s_Green)
This man had a suitcase full of bird seed. The pigeons and seagulls loved him.
Nice park.
But we had to get up and get moving again!!

Then we ran across St Audoens Church. It is in the shadow of Christ Church Cathedral. When we saw it we were looking for a bathroom really. So glad we needed a pit stop and took a chance on this church. It was awesome!

And with that tour we headed to the hotel to call it an early night!! Yay!!
Don't be jealous. We have undies on the roof!!

Yep our view. Should we wonder what is ON those Tommy undies??
My view when I was laying down. Hum... Who's in these places?? Never saw anyone.
Please note that the end of the bed is INCHES from the wall. There was ZERO chance to get to other side of the bed without crawling over the outside person. Sigh.

I asked earlier about a different room that would be quieter as there was a nightclub right below us that wasn't even open on night one but there was one open elsewhere on the block. It had a horrible disco thump throughout the night. I also asked for one I could at least get out of bed without crawling over the other person. Just a minor wish, really.

Night one was fairly quiet but I discovered how BOUNCY Angela is at night. Wow!

Before we went to bed for the night we dropped into a local pizza joint for a quick bite. Froggy joined us.

Day one

Angela's trip between Jr and Sr year - Ireland, Scotland and UK here we come!!

Packing it in. Traveling light!

In the car! And we're off!!

Lizzie's frog is going alone for the ride like Angela's bear went with us!!

Traffic jam!! Stopped traffic all the way down here!! The good news is we were super early and had nothing to worry about.

Sitting waiting for the plane to be cleaned. Yep, you read that right they had to spend extra time on the tarmac cleaning the plane. Sigh. Hurry up and wait!

Please note the photobomb behind us! Ha!!

Goodbye USA!

Plants and a funny dad!!

So, your dad asks you
If you want a few amaryllis starts. Or say sure. Uhm, yeah a HUGE Krogers plastic bag full!! Well not to be rude and tell him NO WAY do I have room for all these, you find s spot (or four)

So the original place I thought of was behind the curve in the wall. OK they fit here but I had a half bag left....hummmm where to put them. Daisy plant I discovered was way to big for that spot anyway was relocated to a pot (once it gets a drain hole it will be put up by the hose reel). I need to replace the citronella (on the right edge of this shot) that did not survive the winter (lesson learned / they are NOT hearty). Note the wet ground. Yep it sprinkled on me while planting.

Ok either side of the monkey grass behind the grill will work!! Only one small spot of monkey grass needed to be relocated :)

Then off to take a few pictures :)

Such a pretty BRIGHT yellow!!

The first yellow was very pale...

And the new daisies are loving life. OK, only two of three but I'm hopeful :) (the red wasn't photo worthy !)

New bedroom decor

I decided the bedroom was too DARK and changed some things up. The biggest change is the curtains.

The bottom is a older picture but you get the drift. Dark curtains, dark bedding. Dark room

And while out shopping for curtains at The Warehouse I found some cute rugs.

My first thought was little house laundry room, then I saw the yellow and thought why not MY laundry room too??

So I got one for my house too :)

Yard work

We will start with a few weeks ago

Amaryllis just stating to bloom

A little while later really picking up!

And a few more with my variegated starting to open

They're so pretty.

They practically glow!

Wisteria just starting.

Some new petunias.

Just starting and newly weeded.

And now mulched!

Volunteers from last year

Verbena going strong.

I added some flox to the mix for some ground cover. We shall see how this goes.

A new rescue plant.

Some more verbena.

A few replacement daisies. I lost quite a few last winter.

Some concrete to hold my hose guide!!

And some more concrete projects :)

Too cute!!
