Outdoor solar chandelier

This goes back to my post on May 10th - here: http://donnasworddoodles.blogspot.com/2013/05/my-next-project.html?m=1
What you didn't know was I had bought this gem in the rough:

Do you find it humorous that it matches the table in its current condition? Me too!
I have no "during" pictures however note in the original it doesn't have all the metal casings for the lights? Well, not to worry - they weren't deep enough for the solar lights I chose anyway, so off to Lowes to improvise. What are they now? PVC pipe!

I am NOT thrilled with how it's hung but wasn't going to get the ladder out. It's too hot and I'm just NOT that motivated tonight.

Now for the sky to fade to black to capture it "lit" :)

I've come to the conclusion we have a LOT of light pollution in our back yard!

THE table

Cost $59.99
Labor extensive!!

It was MEANT to be.. It fit in my car!!!

Ok, it needs a LOT if TLC but its STURDY. Note the cross braces in the first pictures? Yeah, sturdy!

I learned how to take watermarks out of a table. It's much improved if not 99% gone!

Only one true "bad" spot on it where the veneer is down to bare wood, but if push came to shove we could strip the whole top to bare wood.

It FITS. This is after having to flip it and remove the slides for some serious sanding work!

And with chairs

And in the "normal" mode. Elizabeth approves. The. Again she was helping me with the slides too ;)

Now for Butch to see it. He was out if town for the whole process. (Mostly because I KNEW he would say no - he LOVES our old table!)

Garden project

Angela and I pulled most of the weeds from the front bed - forgot a before picture of this side, but it looked something like this:
baby birds in the green house - they look NAKED and HOT...
The crew hard at work making a row...

finishing up the last little bit...
the work crew!  (Ok, I look like a freaking GIANT in here - and no, I'm not standing on the row!)
we ended up with two rows but only one full one and one partial row filled with tomatoes - by June we'll be staking them to keep them upright!
Dad checked our progress and put together a final soaker hose out of the last partial one on the fence.  Life is good!

After Graduation party!

Mori, Jasmine, Jasmines cousin, Shawn, Gloria, Lizzie and not pictured is Greg (seen below behind the blue float)
Baily snuck in later along with Greg who came back from his other party :)
 Shawn bombing the rest!

Fun and games pool size - what could be better?

Birds, Birds and a few squirrels!

I'm so happy to see DOVES in there!!!

Elizabeth has graduated!!

Wouldn't you know it - my camera decided it was too low of light to take the picture when she was shaking the FIRST hand... it took it as she walked away... never to be seen from the front again!!!  AND we were on the opposite side from where she was walking into the venue... so we didn't even get to see her walk in :(

Yes, I will be purchasing the pictures from the school!!
Gloria, Liz Shawn, Mori, Bailey
Kayla B - her soon to be roommate at Georgia Southern!
Grandmothers with the graduate!

We are SO confused on where to look, eh?

Our (not so) little friends

There are two of these guys in the garage. This is the bigger of the two. He managed to get "stranded" as the door went up. He's well over 6" tip to tip.

I'm pretty sure he is the same one I walked out the other morning to him sitting on the carpet right outside the door. I squeaked and told him he really needs to find a new home. He's so fat he clunked as he tried to scurry under the freezer. BIG guy! Wonder how we would catch them to relocate them.
